Step 6: Customizing the landing page

b2match provides you with a landing page for your event. 

Click on go to event website in the top navigation to access you landing page.

Editing the content

Click on Edit Event Page to open the editing mode.

Your landing page is structured in Sections and Components.

A section represents a larger part of the landing page that suite multiple components and can be added by clicking on Add Section inside the Organiser Panel.

A component represents a specific piece of content which can be dragged and dropped from the right hand menu into a section.

Don’t forget to save the work you have done by clicking on Save. 

Working with sections

How to add and edit a section

  • click on Add Section inside the Organiser Panel
  • choose the section you want to add. The section will be automatically added as the last section of the landing page
  • click on image settings (blue icon) to edit the section
  • if you want to change the position of the section, use the Move Section buttons and move the section accordingly (top, up, down, bottom)
  • if you want to change the height of the section, use the Height buttons to do so (Auto, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 75%, 100%)
  • if you want to darken or lighten the image use the Light/Dark button to edit it accordingly
  • tick the Scroll Icon box if you want the scroll icon box to be visible on the section
  • click on the x button (red icon) if you want to remove the section

How to add a background image to a section

Once you have added a section, you have the possibility to add your own picture as a background picture. 

  • click on the upload button (green icon) and upload the image you want to add
The PNG format is recommended for the images you upload as background images. The maximum size is ideally 10MB. The dimensions need to be above 2000x800.

Avoid using images which have logos or text, especially on top or at the bottom of the picture/section. Depending on the different size of the screens, they can be resized or hidden.

Working with components

A component represents a specific piece of content which can be dragged and dropped from the right hand menu into a section.

Adding and editing images with the Content Bilder

In order to add an image to a component and edit it, start by choosing a section containing pictures from the right side menu. Select one of the options below:

  • Images + Caption
  • Images
  • Single image

Drag and drop the section in the needed area. Now you can start adding your photos.

  • Adjust the dimensions and the form of the picture by clicking on the image settings (red icon) and choosing Blank Placeholder. Set the dimensions of your picture (you have a range of 1000px) and the shape of your picture (square or circle). Click on Replace to save your settings
  • Upload the picture by clicking on the photo icon (blue icon)
  • Change the size by zooming in/out (click on '-' or '+')
  • The system will crop your picture by default. Make sure to choose the 'No crop' setting if you want your entire picture to be shown.

 

 

Adding a YouTube video

  1. Go to YouTube and search your video in the search bar
  2. Once you found it, click on Share
  3. Go to Embed and copy the code in the bar

  1. Go to your event's landing page and click on Edit Event Page in the bottom left of the page 
  2. Add the video component by dragging and dropping it in the needed section of the landing page
  3. Click on the Edit link button - a black window will open. Here, you need to paste the embedded code of your video

Adding Google map

  1. Go to Google Maps and search your address in the search bar
  2. Once you found it, click on SHARE
  3. Go to Embed map and copy the code in the bar

  1. Go to your event's landing page and click on Edit Event Page in the bottom left of the page 
  2. Go to the Venue & Location section

  1. Click on Edit link - a black window will open. Here you need to paste the Google Maps embedded code of your address

  2. Customize the Get in Touch area.
