Custom Domain

If you purchased a domain from a third-party provider (like GoDaddy or Gandi.net), you can use it with your B2Match event site. Setting up a custom domain is quite straightforward, but you need to follow every step carefully.

To follow this guide, you should already have registered a domain with a third-party provider. If not, we can buy and configure the domain for you. Contact us at support@b2match.com.

Option 1) Configure a Subdomain

To configure your event with a subdomain, like www.great-event.com you need to create a CNAME DNS record with your domain registrar. If you're not sure how to do this, it's best to email your domain registrar and ask them for help.

Alias or Host Name Type or Record Type Points to
www CNAME or CNAME Alias www.b2match.eu

Now you can go to the B2Match event administration panel and enter your domain under "Settings" -> "Domain and Email Settings".

It can take anywhere from 1 to 72 hours for your domain to fully update and display your event site, please be patient!

Option 2) Configure a Root Domain

Configuring a root domain like "great-event.com" (without www) is more complicated. If you are a beginner, we strongly recommend using the www prefix with the method detailed in Option 1. Most registrars offer the option the redirect the bare domain to a subdomain, which is in most cases a good solution.

If you still need to point your root domain to B2Match, please contact us and we will provide you with more detailed information.
